Behind The Design: The Suede Collection
A closer look at the inspiration, process and details behind our newest collection.
A new collection starts long before it arrives.
For us, the Suede Collection began with an idea: to create something that felt different from anything we had designed before, while still feeling unmistakably Sable Bebe.
We wanted something beautiful, considered and made for everyday life. Something you’d genuinely choose to carry, not simply because you needed a bag for baby.
Why Suede?
We’ve always been drawn to materials that feel as beautiful as they look, and suede felt like the perfect next step.
Soft to the touch, warm in tone and timeless by nature, it brings something new to the Sable Bebe collection.
We wanted the suede to be part of the design itself, with every detail considered around the material.
From The First Sketch
Before there was a finished bag, there were sketches.
We explored different shapes, proportions, handles, pockets and ways each piece could be carried. Every detail had to feel intentional, while still working effortlessly for everyday life.
We tested, refined and went back to the drawing board until every piece felt just right. From the shape of the bags to the hardware and finishing touches, every element was considered.

Designed For More Than Baby
One of the biggest ideas behind the collection was versatility.
We didn't want the Suede Collection to feel like a traditional baby bag. We wanted pieces that could become part of your everyday wardrobe and continue to feel relevant as your needs change.
From the Nappy Bag to the Pram Caddy and smaller accessories, each piece was designed to work beautifully together or completely on its own.
The result is our first Suede Collection. Soft, durable and designed for everyday life.
