Are baby loungers safe?

Our baby loungers are designed to create a comfortable, supportive space for your baby during supervised awake time only, while remaining close to you throughout the day.

As with many baby products, using a lounger safely comes down to how and when it is used.

Supervised use only

Loungers should always be used under close adult supervision. They are designed for daytime moments when your baby is awake nearby while you are present.

Not intended for sleep

Loungers are not a replacement for a bassinet, cot or crib. For sleep, babies should always be placed on a firm, flat sleep surface designed specifically for infant sleep, in line with safe sleep recommendations.

If your baby falls asleep while resting in the lounger, we recommend gently moving them to their bassinet or cot as soon as possible.

Use on flat, stable surfaces

Always place the lounger on a flat, stable surface such as the floor. Loungers should never be used on elevated surfaces like beds, couches, tables or countertops.

Never move the lounger with baby inside

If you need to reposition the lounger, always move your baby separately and place them back in the lounger once it has been safely positioned.

Discontinue use as your baby becomes more mobile

Every baby develops at their own pace, but once your baby begins to roll, push up or move independently, it may be time to transition away from using a lounger.

Designed for comfort and closeness

Many parents enjoy using loungers for moments such as:
• bonding and interaction
• tummy time preparation
• short breaks between feeds
• keeping baby nearby during the day
